Technica Larder Beetle Solutions

Larder beetle infestations often indicate a hidden source of protein-rich organic matter within your structure. From dried pet food and pantry items to dead insects or rodents in wall voids, these pests can quickly spread, contaminating stored goods and becoming a persistent nuisance throughout your home.

At Technica Pest Solutions, we don’t rely on guesswork. We use professional-grade tools and technical treatments to eliminate the population at every life stage.

We offer two primary professional methods:

Precision Residual Treatment

What is Residual Treatment? The application of professional-grade liquid pesticides to the specific cracks, crevices, and activity areas where beetles travel.

  • Targeted Application: Focused on baseboards, shelving perimeters, and cupboards where larvae (often called “fuzzy worms”) are most active.

  • Long-Term Suppression: The treatment remains active to neutralize newly emerging beetles that move through treated zones, breaking the reproductive cycle.

  • Prevention & Storage Advice: Every treatment includes professional recommendations on proper food storage and sanitation tips to secure your environment against future attraction.

Structural Void Dusting

What is Void Treatment? Injecting specialized professional dusts into the hidden areas behind walls, under cabinetry, and inside structural gaps.

  • Total System Coverage: Reaches the “dead zones” inside wall voids where beetles often breed undisturbed by standard cleaning or surface sprays.

  • Elimination at the Source: Neutralizes the colony even when the primary food source is physically inaccessible behind structural barriers.

  • Prevention & Storage Advice: Our technicians provide specific guidance on sealing entry points and managing organic debris to ensure the infestation does not return.

Take Control of Your Property

Larder beetles can be a persistent sign of deeper structural or sanitation issues if left unaddressed. Trust our technical, science-based approach to neutralize the infestation and protect your home’s environment.

Frequently Asked Questions

We target larder beetles with residual sprays, dusts, or aerosols applied to cracks, baseboards, and hiding areas where larvae and adults live. In some cases, products can also be applied into wall voids or other hidden spaces to eliminate infestations at the source. Follow-up treatments may be recommended for heavy activity.

Yes. All of our treatments are designed with safety in mind. We use products that are approved by Health Canada and apply them in targeted areas where pests live and travel, not where your family spends time. When needed, we may recommend keeping pets and children out of treated areas until products have dried—usually just a short time. Our goal is to eliminate pests effectively while keeping your home safe for your loved ones.

Preparation requirements depend on the type of treatment being performed. If preparation is needed, we will provide you with a detailed prep sheet and walk you through the steps to ensure everything is clear before the service.

It’s normal to see some activity for a short period after treatment, as pests come into contact with the products and move out of their hiding places. This typically decreases within a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on the pest type. If you continue to notice significant activity after the expected timeframe, we’ll work with you to reassess and, if needed, provide follow-up service under your warranty.
