What is included

What the plan includes

Here is what the technician does on your property, and why each part matters for your home and yard.

Six visits, spring to fall

Six visits spaced through the warm season, from spring to fall. The technician treats on every visit and checks for new activity, so problems are dealt with early. We come back on schedule.

Barrier treatment around the home

We treat around the foundation, doors and windows. These are the places where crawling insects, such as ants and spiders, walk in at ground level. The barrier targets them at those entry points.

Mosquito treatment in the yard

Adult mosquitoes rest during the day in cool, shaded, humid places, such as shrubs and tall grass. We treat yard plants and the shady spots where they rest. That targets mosquitoes where they spend the day.

Wasp nest checks and removal

The technician checks for wasp nests on every visit and removes any that are found. Queens start nests in spring, and colonies peak in August and September. Nests grow fast through summer, so a check on every visit matters.

Spider web and egg sac removal

The technician clears spider webs and egg sacs from around doors and eaves. Spiders such as the cellar spider are harmless to people. The main issue is how the webs and egg sacs look.

Free callbacks between visits

If pests return between scheduled visits, call and a technician comes back at no extra charge. If the pests on your property change, we adjust the plan on the next visit.
Around your home

What the plan deals with

The Core plan targets four groups of pests around your home and yard in the warm months. Here is why each one matters in Alberta, and what the plan does about it.

Mosquitoes

In Alberta, mosquito numbers rise after wet springs and summer rain. Adults rest by day in shrubs, tall grass and under decks. Many species bite most at dusk and dawn. The plan treats yard plants and shady resting spots.
Wasps

Wasps

Yellowjackets and bald-faced hornets live across Alberta and defend their nests hard. A disturbed nest can send out many wasps, and each can sting more than once. The technician checks for nests on every visit and removes any found.
Spiders

Spiders

Wolf spiders wander into basements and garages from spring to fall. Cellar spiders hang untidy webs around window frames and eaves. Both are more nuisance than danger. The plan removes webs and egg sacs around doors and eaves.

Crawling insects

Some insects walk into the house at ground level. Ants and spiders are common examples, and both are active from spring to fall. The barrier treatment goes around the foundation, doors and windows, where they come in.

How it works

From first visit to routine

Initial visit

A technician inspects inside and out, then confirms which plan fits and what the schedule looks like.

First treatment

The first visit deals with any current activity and sets up stations, barriers and monitoring.

Scheduled visits

We come back on schedule. You do not need to call, remember dates or be home for exterior work.

Between visits

Notice something? Call and we will fit you in. Adjusting the plan as the season changes is part of the service.
Through the year

The Core plan from spring to fall

The plan runs from spring to fall and stops for winter. Here is what the pests are doing in each season, and why six visits through the warm season help.

Spring

Wasp queens start new nests. Wolf spiders are most active from April to June. Ants become active, and mosquito numbers rise after a wet spring. The season's visits begin, and each one includes a wasp nest check.

Summer

Mosquito numbers rise after summer rain. Wasp nests grow fast and peak in August and September, when yellowjackets crowd patios and garbage. Visits focus on mosquito treatment, wasp nest checks and web removal.

Fall

Wasps stay active until the first hard frost, then workers die. A few wolf spiders seek shelter as nights cool. The plan wraps up in fall. Most mouse entries happen now. If rodents are a concern, the Flex plan and the Platinum plan include exterior rodent control all year.
Is it the right fit?

Is this plan right for you?

  • Families who use the deck, patio and yard from spring to fall.
  • Homes where mosquitoes, wasps or spider webs are a bother in the warm months.
  • Homeowners who want wasp nests checked and removed on every visit.
  • Homeowners who want one predictable schedule, billed once a year.

If rodents are also a concern, the Flex plan covers insects and exterior rodents all year in four visits, one each season. The Platinum plan covers the same in twelve visits a year, with a report after each visit and priority callbacks, so Platinum requests are scheduled first. For a single problem, a one-time treatment may fit better.

Common questions

Questions about the Core plan

Do I need to be home for the visits?

Most plan visits are exterior and do not need you home. If we need to come inside, we book a time that suits you.

Can I start the plan in the middle of the season?

Yes. We start with a full inspection and treatment, then move on to the regular visit schedule for the rest of the season. The technician confirms the schedule for your start date at the initial visit.

What if I notice pests between visits?

Call us at (587) 840-8133. Callbacks between scheduled visits are free. A technician comes back and adjusts the plan if needed.

What is the initial visit?

Every plan starts with one. A technician inspects inside and out, then confirms the schedule for your plan. It is the first of your scheduled visits and deals with any current activity.

What happens when I book online?

You send a booking request. It is not a confirmed appointment yet. The team calls to confirm the day and time of the initial visit. Nothing is paid on the website.

What does the plan not cover?

The Core plan runs from spring to fall and does not include rodent control. The Flex plan (four visits a year, one each season) and the Platinum plan (twelve visits a year) cover insects and exterior rodents all year. Bed bug heat treatment is a separate, one-time treatment.
