Residential service plan

Flex

The Flex plan is insect and mosquito control for your home and yard from spring to fall, plus exterior rodent control all year, in one plan. A licensed technician visits once each season, four times a year: insect work on the spring, summer and fall visits, rodent work on all four. Callbacks between visits are free. It is billed quarterly, and it suits homes that want both services without a visit every month.

What is included

What the plan includes

Here is what the plan covers around your home and yard, and why each part matters.

Four visits a year, one each season

A licensed technician comes once a season, so the plan keeps running through winter, when rodents stay active. Regular visits look for activity early, while it is still a small job. The plan is billed quarterly.

Insect and mosquito treatments from spring to fall

From spring to fall, the technician applies a barrier treatment around the foundation, doors and windows, and treats yard plants and the shady spots where mosquitoes rest. Wasp nests are checked for and removed. Spider webs and egg sacs are removed from around the outside of your home.

Exterior rodent control on every visit

Rodents are active in every season, so the rodent side of the plan runs on all four visits. It covers mice, voles, rats and other rodents outside your home. In Alberta, a suspected rat often turns out to be a large mouse or another rodent, so it helps that the plan is not limited to one animal.

Exterior inspection and written list

The technician inspects the outside of your home for places rodents could get in. You receive a written list of entry points that need sealing. Once inside, mice can stay all year, so closing those gaps matters.

Bait stations and traps on every visit

Tamper-resistant bait stations and traps are set up outside your home, and the technician checks and refreshes them on every visit. Most new mouse entries happen in fall, as nights get cold and rodents leave yards, sheds and fields to look for warmth, food and shelter. The fall visit gets extra attention for that reason.

Free callbacks between visits

If pests come back between scheduled visits, call and a technician comes back at no extra charge. That applies to both the insect and the rodent side of the plan.
Around your home

What the plan deals with

The Flex plan covers insects and mosquitoes around the house and yard from spring to fall, and rodents outside your home all year. Here is why each one matters in Alberta, and what the plan does about it.

Mosquitoes

Adults rest by day in shrubs, tall grass and under decks. On the spring, summer and fall visits, the technician treats yard plants and the shady spots where they rest.
Wasps

Wasps

Queens start nests in spring and colonies peak in August and September. On the spring, summer and fall visits, the technician checks for nests and removes the ones found.
Spiders

Spiders

Wolf spiders are most active from April to June. On the spring, summer and fall visits, the technician removes webs and egg sacs around the outside of your home, and the barrier treatment around the foundation, doors and windows targets spiders that walk in at ground level.
Mice

Mice

Most mice get in during fall, when cool nights push them toward warm buildings. They spoil food and can damage insulation, stored items and wiring. The plan sets bait stations and traps outside and lists entry points to seal.
Voles

Voles

Voles rarely enter homes. They are a lawn and garden problem. Under the snow they feed on grass, roots, bulbs and the bark of young trees. Damage shows in spring. The plan covers voles outside your home, all year.
Rats

Rats

Alberta has no established rat population, and every report is checked. A lone rat can still arrive at any time, often on a truck. The plan covers rats outside your home. Report any suspected rat to 310-FARM (3276).

How it works

From first visit to routine

Initial visit

A technician inspects inside and out, then confirms which plan fits and what the schedule looks like.

First treatment

The first visit deals with any current activity and sets up stations, barriers and monitoring.

Scheduled visits

We come back on schedule. You do not need to call, remember dates or be home for exterior work.

Between visits

Notice something? Call and we will fit you in. Adjusting the plan as the season changes is part of the service.
Through the year

The Flex plan through the year

The Flex plan gives you one visit each season. Insect and mosquito treatments happen on the spring, summer and fall visits, and exterior rodent control happens on all four. Here is what the technician does on each one.

Spring

Melting snow reveals vole runways and chewed bark. Wasp queens start new nests and wolf spiders become active. The spring visit applies the barrier treatment around the foundation, doors and windows, treats the yard for mosquitoes and clears webs and egg sacs. Bait stations and traps are checked and refreshed.

Summer

Wasp colonies peak in August and September. The summer visit repeats the barrier and mosquito treatments, checks for wasp nests and removes webs. Deer mice and voles are active outdoors all summer, so bait stations and traps are checked and refreshed too.

Fall

Cooler nights push mice from yards, sheds and fields toward warm buildings. The fall visit gives rodents extra attention: bait stations and traps are refreshed and the outside of your home is inspected for entry points. Insect treatments and wasp nest checks finish for the year on this visit.

Winter

Deer mice move into garages, sheds and rural homes. Voles keep feeding under the snow, where damage builds unseen. The winter visit is rodent only: the technician checks the bait stations and traps and looks over the outside of your home.
Is it the right fit?

Is this plan right for you?

  • Homes that deal with both insects and rodents, but do not need a visit every month.
  • Homeowners who prefer to pay quarterly rather than all at once.
  • Homes near fields or green space and acreages, where rodents live close by, and older homes with gaps to seal.
  • Families who use the deck, patio and yard from spring to fall.

If insects and mosquitoes are your only concern from spring to fall, look at the Core plan. If you want a visit every month, a report after each service and priority callbacks, so Platinum requests are scheduled first, the Platinum plan covers the same insects and rodents. For a one-off problem, ask about a one-time treatment.

Common questions

Questions about the Flex plan

Do I need to be home for the visits?

Not for the four scheduled visits. They are exterior, so you do not need to be home. The initial visit includes an inspection inside and out. The team calls to confirm the day and time with you.

Can I start the plan at any time of year?

Yes. The Flex plan runs all year. We start with a full inspection and treatment, then move on to the seasonal schedule, one visit each quarter. Exterior rodent control happens on every visit, whenever you start. Insect and mosquito treatments happen on the spring, summer and fall visits.

What happens when I book online?

You send a booking request. It is not a confirmed appointment yet. The team calls to confirm the day and time of the initial visit. Nothing is paid on the website.

What if I notice pests between visits?

Call us at (587) 840-8133. Callbacks between scheduled visits are free. A technician comes back and adjusts the plan if needed.

What does the plan not cover?

The rodent control is an exterior service, with bait stations and traps outside your home. The scheduled visits are for the outside of your home, insect and mosquito work included. Insect and mosquito treatments happen on the spring, summer and fall visits, not on the winter visit. Bed bug heat treatment is a separate, one-time treatment.

How is it different from Core and Platinum?

The Core plan is insect and mosquito control for home and yard from spring to fall, with six visits, billed annually. The Flex plan pairs insect work on the spring, summer and fall visits with exterior rodent control on all four visits, billed quarterly, so you get both services with fewer insect visits than Core. The Platinum plan covers the same insects and rodents with twelve visits a year, a report after each service and priority callbacks, billed monthly.
