Technica Cockroach Solutions

At Technica Pest Solutions, we understand how stressful and persistent a cockroach infestation can be. Roaches hide extremely well, reproduce quickly, and are usually found in tight spaces that are hard to access with store-bought products.

Surface sprays alone often do not solve the problem because the main infestation is usually hidden behind walls, inside cabinets, under appliances, and in other protected areas.

That is why our cockroach treatments are designed to target both the visible activity and the hidden source of the infestation.

We offer two proven treatment methods depending on the severity of the problem:

  1. Bait and Dust Method
  2. Chemical Flush Treatment

1. Bait and Dust Method

What Is Bait and Dust Treatment?

This is one of the most effective treatment methods for cockroach infestations because it targets the areas where roaches live, travel, and breed.

Bait is applied in kitchens, bathrooms, and other active areas where cockroaches are feeding and moving. The bait is picked up by the roaches and transferred back into their hiding areas.

We also use a professional dust product that is injected into select wall voids and hidden harbourage areas where cockroaches are nesting.

These two products work together to reach deeper into the infestation and help eliminate the source, including newly emerging roaches.

How It Works

Inspection
We identify where the activity is concentrated and where cockroaches are likely hiding.

Bait Placement
Small amounts of bait are applied in key areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, cabinets, under sinks, and other activity zones.

Dust Application
Commercial dust is injected into select wall voids and other hidden areas where roaches harbour.

Transfer Back to the Colony
As cockroaches move through treated areas, the treatment is carried back into the infestation.

Colony Reduction
This method helps reduce not only the visible roaches, but also the hidden source of the problem over time.

Why Choose This Method?

  • Targets hidden roach activity, not just what you can see
  • Effective in kitchens, bathrooms, and wall voids
  • Helps work back into the infestation
  • Ideal for ongoing elimination of the source
  • Especially effective for established infestations

What to Expect

  • You may still see some activity after treatment as the products continue working
  • Roach numbers should gradually decline over time
  • Follow-up may be required depending on the severity of the infestation
  • Good sanitation and preparation can improve overall results

2. Chemical Flush Treatment

What Is Chemical Flush Treatment?

Chemical flush treatment is used mainly for high infestations where there is heavy visible activity and a fast knockdown is needed.

Using ULV application, treatment is introduced into problem areas to flush roaches out of hiding and reduce the active population quickly.

This method is useful when there is a severe infestation, but it is often combined with more targeted treatment methods to achieve full control.

How It Works

Assessment
We determine whether the infestation level calls for immediate knockdown treatment.

ULV Application
Treatment is applied to active areas to flush out cockroaches and reduce heavy visible populations.

Knockdown of High Activity
This helps quickly bring down the infestation where activity is severe.

Follow-Up Targeted Treatment
In many cases, flush treatment is followed by bait and dust treatment to help eliminate the remaining source.

Why Choose This Method?

  • Useful for high infestations
  • Fast knockdown of heavy visible activity
  • Helps flush cockroaches from hidden spaces
  • Can be combined with other treatment methods for better control

Tip: Many cockroach infestations benefit from a combination of both methods.

Common Signs of a Cockroach Problem

  • Roaches are seen in kitchens or bathrooms
  • Activity at night when the lights are turned on
  • Small droppings in drawers, cabinets, or under sinks
  • Activity behind fridges, stoves, and dishwashers
  • Repeated sightings after using store-bought sprays
  • Roaches appearing in more than one room

Why Professional Cockroach Treatment Matters

Cockroach infestations are difficult to eliminate because most of the problem is hidden.

Treating only the roaches you see rarely solves the issue. Proper treatment needs to reach the cracks, wall voids, harbourage areas, and hidden nesting spots where roaches continue breeding.

Professional treatment gives you a targeted plan based on the level of infestation instead of guesswork.

Frequently Asked Questions

We use targeted treatments such as gels, baits, dusts, and residual sprays to eliminate cockroaches at the source. In some cases, we may also apply products into wall voids or use flushing agents to reach hidden areas. Follow-up visits are often recommended to ensure the infestation is fully resolved.

Yes. All of our treatments are designed with safety in mind. We use products that are approved by Health Canada and apply them in targeted areas where pests live and travel, not where your family spends time. When needed, we may recommend keeping pets and children out of treated areas until products have dried—usually just a short time. Our goal is to eliminate pests effectively while keeping your home safe for your loved ones.

Preparation requirements depend on the type of treatment being performed. If preparation is needed, we will provide you with a detailed prep sheet and walk you through the steps to ensure everything is clear before the service.

It’s normal to see some activity for a short period after treatment, as pests come into contact with the products and move out of their hiding places. This typically decreases within a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on the pest type. If you continue to notice significant activity after the expected timeframe, we’ll work with you to reassess and, if needed, provide follow-up service under your warranty.
