What is included

What the plan includes

The Platinum plan puts insect control from spring to fall and exterior rodent control year-round on one monthly schedule, with a report after each service. Here is what the technician does on your property and why each part matters.

12 visits a year, with reports

A technician comes back every month on a set schedule, with a minimum of 12 visits a year. You get a report after each service.

Barrier treatment around the home

From spring to fall, the technician applies a barrier treatment around the foundation, doors and windows. It targets insects that walk in at ground level. Ants and spiders are two examples of pests that enter this way.

Mosquito treatment in the yard

Adult mosquitoes rest during the day in cool, shaded, humid places. The technician treats yard plants and the shady spots where they rest. This runs from spring to fall, when families use the deck, patio and yard.

Wasp nest and spider web removal

Wasp queens start nests in spring, and colonies peak in August and September. In the warm months, the technician checks for nests on each visit and removes the ones found. Spider webs and egg sacs around doors and eaves are removed on the same visits.

Exterior rodent control, year-round

The technician inspects the outside of your home and gives you a written list of entry points that need sealing. Tamper-resistant bait stations and traps are checked and refreshed every visit. Fall gets extra attention, when rodents head indoors.

Priority callbacks

Free callback visits are included in every plan. If pests come back between scheduled visits, call us and a technician returns at no extra charge. Platinum callbacks are scheduled ahead of other callback requests.
Around your home

What the plan deals with

The Platinum plan deals with warm season pests around the house and yard, and with rodents outside your home in every season. Here is why each one matters in Alberta.

Mosquitoes

Mosquito numbers in Alberta rise after wet springs and summer rain. Adults rest by day in shrubs, tall grass and under decks. From spring to fall, the plan treats yard plants and the shady spots where they rest.
Wasps

Wasps

Yellowjackets and bald-faced hornets defend their nests hard. A disturbed nest can send out many wasps, and each can sting more than once. Wasp nest checks and removal are part of visits in the warm months.
Spiders

Spiders

Wolf spiders often startle people when they wander into basements and garages. Cellar spiders hang untidy webs around window frames and eaves. Web and egg sac removal around doors and eaves is part of visits from spring to fall.
Mice

Mice

Most new mouse entries happen in fall, as cooler nights push mice toward warm buildings. They gnaw food packages, insulation and sometimes wiring. Exterior bait stations and traps are checked every visit, with extra attention in fall.
Voles

Voles

Voles rarely enter homes, but they feed under the snow all winter. They clip grass, eat roots and bulbs, and chew bark from young trees. The plan covers voles outside your home, with monthly visits that continue through winter.
Rats

Rats

Alberta has no established rat population, but a lone rat can arrive at any time of year. The plan's exterior rodent control covers rats too. Any suspected rat in Alberta should be reported to 310-FARM (3276).

How it works

From first visit to routine

Initial visit

A technician inspects inside and out, then confirms which plan fits and what the schedule looks like.

First treatment

The first visit deals with any current activity and sets up stations, barriers and monitoring.

Scheduled visits

We come back on schedule. You do not need to call, remember dates or be home for exterior work.

Between visits

Notice something? Call and we will fit you in. Adjusting the plan as the season changes is part of the service.
Through the year

The Platinum plan through the seasons

Pests change with the weather, so the work changes too. With the Platinum plan, a technician visits every month: insect treatments run spring to fall, and exterior rodent control carries on in every season.

Spring

Melting snow reveals vole runways and chewed bark. Wasp queens start new nests and wolf spiders become active. Insect and mosquito treatments begin, alongside the exterior rodent checks.

Summer

Mosquito numbers rise after summer rain, and wasp colonies peak in August and September. Visits focus on barrier and mosquito treatments, wasp nest checks and web removal. Bait stations and traps are still checked every visit.

Fall

Cooler nights push mice from yards, sheds and fields toward warm buildings. The rodent side of the plan gets extra attention now. Wasp workers die after the first hard frosts, and insect treatments finish for the year.

Winter

Deer mice move into garages, sheds and rural homes in fall and winter. Voles feed unseen under the snow. Monthly exterior visits continue, with bait stations and traps checked and refreshed.
Is it the right fit?

Is this plan right for you?

  • Homes that deal with both insects and rodents over the year.
  • Families who use the deck, patio and yard from spring to fall.
  • Homes near fields or green space, acreages and older homes.
  • Homeowners who want one monthly schedule, a report after each service and priority callbacks if pests return.

If insects and mosquitoes are your only concern, the Core plan runs spring to fall with six visits. If you want insect and exterior rodent control with fewer visits, the Flex plan runs year-round with four visits, one each season. For a single problem, a one-time treatment may fit better.

Common questions

Questions about the Platinum plan

Do I need to be home for the visits?

Most plan visits are exterior and do not need you home. If we need to come inside, we book a time that suits you.

Can I start the plan in the middle of a season?

Yes. We start with a full inspection and treatment, then move on to the monthly schedule. Insect and mosquito treatments run spring to fall, and exterior rodent control runs in every season, whenever you start.

What is the initial visit?

Every plan starts with an initial visit. A technician inspects inside and out, then confirms the schedule for your plan. It is the first of your scheduled visits and deals with any current activity.

What happens when I book online?

You send a booking request. It is not a confirmed appointment yet. The team calls to confirm the day and time of the initial visit. Nothing is paid on the website.

How do priority callbacks work?

If pests return between scheduled visits, call us at (587) 840-8133 and a technician comes back at no extra charge. Your request goes ahead of other callback requests in the queue.

What does the plan not cover?

Insect and mosquito treatments run from spring to fall, not through winter. Rodent control on the Platinum plan is an exterior service, with bait stations and traps outside your home. Bed bug heat treatment is a separate, one-time treatment.
