Dominique Pipella

Very good work and professional. They came at a time that I had suggested that worked best for me. He sprayed the area and I had also asked him to come into the house as well to ensure we had no bee hives inside our home. Thank you so much for the immediate service.

Tick Control

Ticks are outdoor pests that are commonly found in tall grass, brush, leaf litter, wooded edges, shaded areas, fence lines, trails, overgrown vegetation, and areas where wildlife or pets travel. They do not infest a home the same way cockroaches or bed bugs do, but they can become a serious concern around yards, acreages, commercial properties, dog runs, parks, outdoor seating areas, and properties near natural areas.

Ticks are a concern because they attach to people and animals to feed. Some ticks can carry diseases, so reducing tick activity around the property is important for families, pets, staff, customers, and anyone using the outdoor space.

Technica Pest Solutions provides tick control by focusing on the areas where ticks are most likely to wait for a host. Our technician will inspect the property and identify high-risk areas such as tall grass, shaded perimeter zones, wooded edges, shrubs, fence lines, pet areas, trails, leaf litter, and damp vegetation.

Treatment is applied to targeted outdoor areas where ticks are likely to be active. This may include a professional residual spray to lawn edges, tall grass, brush lines, shaded vegetation, fence lines, exterior perimeter areas, and transition zones between maintained lawn and overgrown or wooded areas. Open, sunny lawn areas usually have lower tick pressure, so treatment is most effective when focused on the areas where ticks are most likely to survive and travel.

Tick control works best when treatment is combined with habitat reduction. We may recommend keeping grass cut short, removing leaf litter, trimming vegetation, reducing brush, creating a mulch or gravel barrier between lawns and wooded areas, moving outdoor furniture or play areas away from overgrown edges, and limiting conditions that attract rodents, deer, or other wildlife that can carry ticks.

For properties with pets, it is also important to use veterinarian-approved tick prevention for dogs or other animals that spend time outdoors. Yard treatment can reduce tick pressure in the environment, but it does not replace proper pet protection or personal tick checks after spending time in grassy or wooded areas.

For homes and businesses, our tick service is designed to reduce tick activity in high-risk outdoor areas, treat the zones where ticks are most likely to be present, and provide practical recommendations to help make the property less favourable for ticks over time.
